    Periods after Childbirth
Before I was pregnant my cycles were clockwork, 30 days..
I breastfed for 3 months and shortly after I got my period back. The first cycle was 42 days, then 40 days, and now it has been 43 days.. and nothing! I've taken a pregnancy test and it was negative... I feel pregnant but I am not sure if that is because I would like to be... So, where is my period? Is it normal to have irregular cycles like this... will me period come? When should I get a blood test to see if I am pregnant?

How long ago was your pregnancy? How long ago did you stop breastfeeding?

It can take some women up to a year after delivery and nursing for their periods to come back to normal.

If you feel pregnant, then by all means have a test done as, for a lot of us, intuition is the best indicator.

I have a 12 month old so I just went through all of this. I was not regular for about 6 months. Finally I started Birth Control and I am back to normal. Have you started birth control? Also, if you are still breastfeeding this can cause it to be irregular. Good Luck!

I have never been on birth control, and don't really plan to.
My son is 6 months old.. I stopped breastfeeding at 3 months...
All this irregularity is going to drive me crazy!
