    John deere hydro 185
I have a john deere 185, it will turn over and start with starting fuid and stay running if I keep hiting the carb with starting fluid, soon as I stop it shuts off, I checked fuel lines and cleaned the carb, lines are good and it is getting fuel in the retaining pool under the carb, I think it might be a bad float, not sure, help please

Usually a bad float floods the engine but you are starved for fuel. With the bowl removed try raising and lowering the float. In the raised position the fuel should stop dribbling in. Drop the float down and the fuel starts dribbling. Write back with your results.
