How to install hp printers?

If you have WiFi, you just plug it in to an outlet.

Didn't you get instructions, and a disk to install your printer?

What O/S, what exact printer, how is it accessed? Parallel printer port, USB, Wireless or wired network? Via a print server?

I bought an HP printer. As soon as I plugged it in to an outlet, because I have WiFi, it was instantly connected to my hi speed internet. Why do you think, amongst the both of you, it had to be made more complicated ?

My guess is that would depend on which model printer you have. There has to be many brands each with a large variety of different functioning models.

You got lucky...I've never simply plugged in a printer and had it work....YET, but there is always a first time. And I've been using computers since 1980, had my first personal computer in 1981 and have use and repaired Mini-Mainframe computers as well.

With Windows10 you don't need a specific driver disc. I just put a Canon on and when I put it in a USB port, it asked me if I wanted to install the printer.
