    Hi Packgreen49

    The first thing to do here is to remove the trim plate from around the shower head and then turn the shower on and see if you see water dripping from behind the wall and onto the shower valve. If you see water dripping from above and onto the shower valve then the problem is up at the shower arm where the arm connects to the plumbing pipe behind the wall. If you find the shower arm to be the issue post back and we can discuss how to tackle this issue without making things worse. If you find the leak at the shower valve itself then the problem will be right in front of you and you will see what needs to be done next. If you don't see any water/dripping behind the wall then most likely the issue will be associated with the drain pipe OR the tile on the tile wall if there is a tile wall.
