How long does it take to be charged for a blood test for possible dui or are they suppose to charge you before you make bail on other charges

What ever the Statue of Limitation is on the offense, most likely 6 months to 1 year, they may just be waiting for the blood test to come back to make official charges. Normally in my old department we would havve merely charged you already based on the field sobriety and then used the blood test to prove it. But they can wait for the blood test to come back and make a formal charge then
