How do I go about selling a maple tree? Thanks.

A maple tree on your property you want to get rid of? Please explain.

Originally planted tree in early 1970's. Hit by lightening - had it trimmed. Still has some dead limbs. Trunk is large, has never had nails in it - think it would make some good boards for furniture, etc.

Maybe contact a local lumber mill but I think the cost of removing it would make the actual price they give you very low. It's probably a few hours work to remove it, plus they would need a lot of room and all they would want is the trunk.

It's not very feasible to do this and the costs and mess would be large, but call a lumber yard and see what they say.
