    Kenmore 70 series electric dryer
I have a Kenmore 70 series dryer(large capacity) that is 3yrs old. It was working fine, until one day when I put a medium load of towels into it, and started it; it dried for 15mins then shuts off and won't come back on for a couple of days. I've tried on at least (3)occasions. I assume that it's cutting off to keep it from overheating and catch on fire, similar to a car; a car shuts off when there's not enough water in it to keep from slinging a rod or blowing a head gasket! I'm disabled and I need my dryer working! PLEASE HELP ME; IT'S ABOUT TO BE WINTER!!

Does this happen if you reset your timer and then try to restart it? It could really be many things from motor to some small switch component. Go here and type in your model number and get repair help.

Or supply it to us and we can see what can be done.

Check to see if the vent pipe is clogged with lint or otherwise obstructed. That is a common reason for thermal overload.
