Then yes, you could be pregnant.

I really hope that it was a result of failed birth control, and not lack of birth control, though.

One would hope that after ONE unwanted pregnancy, you'd be triply careful NOT to get pregnant again.

What a hard situation that you are in. I have had an abortion myself actually to be perfectly honest, I have had 2. One when I was 18 than when I was 27. I promised myself that I would never do that to myself or the baby ever again. I now have a 9 month old son. Both times I got pregnant was from lack of protection. I was very irresponsible for that. I made peace with that. It was hard. I planned this pregnancy. Boy oh boy, I would never give up motherhood. IT has done great things for me as a woman and mother. Would it be so bad to have a baby if you are pregnant? If you end up not pregnant, please, please use protection. If you are pregnant and you need someone to talk to... I will listen. I do understand.

Were you using protection during those times of sex, after having an abortion? I would hope so, because to have an abortion(that you didn't seem like you were proud of) and then to not take responsibility to keep it from happening again, would be very disappointing and reckless behavior. That being said, I'm going to drop it and give advice. How old are you? It could be that your body is still just trying to recover from the abortion. However, it has definitely been long enough to be able to take a pregnancy test. I would suggest that you go see a doctor. A doctor can give you an exam, and you can take a pregnancy test there as well, and they can give you more definite answers on whether you are pregnant or not, and if not what is going on with your body. Let me say, that if you are pregnant, and don't want/can not take care of the baby, please PLEASE put it up for adoption. If you can't take care of the baby, there is no reason for you to keep it, BUT there is no reason for a family that CAN take care of it and give it a loving home, there is no reason they shouldn't be given the chance to provide that for the child.

Buggage, I'm not going to give you the red dot... but adoption is NOT the answer for everyone. It's a devastating loss, and while it should be considered, whether there are "desparate, loving childless couples just waiting for a baby" shouldn't be the main reason for choosing adoption.

I'm a birthmother, and choosing adoption and dealing with society's ideas of what adoption is and isn't has been a challenge for all of my adult life.

I'm as angry at people for blithely suggesting adoption as the answer to unwanted pregnancies as others are about blithely suggesting abortion.

I agree, however, that destinyangel needs to see a doctor. That long without a menstrual cycle may or may not be a pregnancy, but it should be checked on by someone in the medical field.

Thank you for answering my question, I told myself that I would only do abortion once if it happened again by any chance I would keep it. I have a beautiful two year old daughter that I love and take care of

Wanted to follow up with my question, I talked to the nurse at my doctor's office she stated that I should take a home test so I did and it states negative. Ok, I can live with that but now still no period so I don't know what's going on, the soonest they can get me into the office to see the doctor is in two weeks. I never have missed a period I've always been right on or a day off depending on how stressed I've been. I'm nervous

I had an abortion 9 years ago. I bled for a while after and I went straight on the pill. It does take a while for your periods to go back to normal, my mum told me. Having an abortion is a confusing and upsetting time in a girls life and I do feel for you. Seriously though, use contraception!

I wouldn't worry too much yet. After I had my baby I didn't have a period for almost 3 months. I was told this was normal and just as they said, it started again and now it's normal. You'll be fine.

If she WAS pregnant, the baby was born several months ago.
