My remote start isn't working correctly.
The remote start on my 2008 Chrysler Town and Country Touring Edition isn't working correctly. I press twice on the button on the key fob, the van starts for a few seconds then shuts off. This feature is very handy in the winter time. What should I look at first to diagnose this issue. It worked fine last winter.

Does the same thing happen when you start it manually?

No it runs and drives normally if I start the vehicle with the key.

Maybe you need a fresh battery in the remote, which any dealer can change, maybe auto zone or places like it, or try it yourself. Check out these videos.

Or check the subsequent videos that also show worn out buttons, or just replace the remote and program it.

Disconnecting the positive battery cable for 60 seconds resets the system as a last resort, but weak batteries should be changed.

I'd start with battery change in the remote.

The batteries in the remotes are good, when I press the remote start button twice, the van will start run for less than a minute then shut off.

Is the engine light on? Is there a security system on this car?

The check engine light is on, and yes there is a factory installed security system.

You should find out what that CHECK ENGINE is about. Had any work done lately on this vehicle?

Ok, I'll get the CEL looked at, it was in the body shop for front end work after my wife hit a deer with it last winter.
