Use a VOM to trace the wires. Check voltage through the brake light switch. Make sure fuses are good. Based on what you posted, you are possibly missing a ground wire. That is why tracing a wire is important. It is either no voltage to a switch or no voltage at the lights. If you have 12V at the brake light switch and no brake lights, you either have a bad wire, you said you replaced them, or a bad ground. I doubt all the bulbs are bad.

I believe on that truck Turn and stop are the same filament, odd Turn, works but not brake? Sockets on those would lose ground first(what I usually saw)
