    W-4 Tax Form
When I initially got hired in at my job few years back, my status was single. Not That I am married and no kids, I did not change my status on company accounting side to married. I live in virginia

Currently my pay stub states following number of exemptions and allowances

    Federal - 2
    State - 1
    Local - 0

Should I make changes to my W-4 so I am not getting too much taken out of my check and also I get max refund on my taxes. Please advice

Remember, if you want "max" refund, you are giving the govt. YOUR money for the year. I always tried to owe a little or just get back a little. The year is already more than 1/2 over. I'd leave it alone, do your 2017 taxes, see what happens and then adjust in January or February.

    MA0641 has valid points.

One question: Is your spouse working?

If no, then follow MA0641's advice.

If yes, then adjustments may be needed to your and your wife's W-4.
