    Leaky outside faucet, replace the stem assembly?
    We have a drippy faucet outside. I have taken the stem out, it is 12" with a square nut w/ washer. Are there various sizes of square nut assemblies?

    12" sounds like a frost proof faucet. Take it to HD, Lowe's, Ace or a plumbing parts supplier and match it up.
