I saw this question on here but have not seen an answer. For it.
It goes not seam to bother the baby, just the mother and grandparents.

I found this:

Apparently, black taste buds on dark skinned people is common and not of consequence. Hairy tongue seems to be a disease. I'm not sure if this information applies in pediatrics, though.
My baby had black spots on her tongue at around this age. I noticed today that it has spread to approx 1cm long of grey/purple strip with red marks where the skin may possibly be broken.
She is teething and her top tooth has just come through so I wonder if she has been chewing this area.
I am taking her to the doctors tomorrow but if you now know what was wrong with your babies tongue would you please let me know.
Thanks in advance.
