High school buddies at gravel pit. Encounter 2 guys in car w/stolen money. 2 guys shot by one of the boys. Car pushed into pit w/one dead guy and gun. Buddies drive around in mid sixty's convertible lincoln w/other near dead shot guy debating taking him to hospital. Guy eventually dies and is disposed of. Mystery what becomes of stolen money. 20 years later buddies reunite in mountain cabin discuss events 20 yrs earlier, shooting, missing money etc. gathering becomes hostile resulting in death to one buddy. Remaining buddies attend funeral then go their own way. Buddies- one was a cop, one was a priest, one a lawyer and one a contractor. Do not remember the title of movie or names of actors. I am guessing movie was made in the 1990's into early 2000s era. Please help I am going nuts and want to purchase copy of movie.

Sounds a little like Sleepers (1996) with a similar plot but not.

Hey thanks a lot. Sleepers is a good movie but not the one I am searching for. If I remember correctly this movie did not have any of the top actors but they were good. One guy I can see his face but just cannot remember his name. He is a Jewish Italian looking guy approx late 40ish early to mid 50ish guy. Wearing small wire looking glasses he was the attorney. This guy I have seen him in gangster mob type movies--he is usually playing a accountant, lawyer or lower level person working for the mob, generally a character actor. I have searched a unbelievable list of gangster, mob, mafia movies on line to try to find his picture w/a name, so far no luck. Their reunion was in a cabin in the outdoor wilderness mountain in Missouri and I believe the cabin belonged to the cop character. The movie starts showing a funeral then it backtracked to their high school days. Then reverts back to the funeral and you learn which buddy did not survive, just happens to be his funeral. Any way this was such a twisty drama and kept me guessing until the very end. It was a great movie. I just have a mind block and cannot grasp the title to the movie. Thanks again.
