Since this is a homework question.. how would you go about calculating this and why?
Trey, can you copy and post the answers you think are just 'troubleshooting'.
Too many variables to calculate Tex, as you have to factor total square footage, and unit capacity/size into the equation as well as average AMBIENT temperature, and heat/air loss. Then there is window size, and location to contend with, and don't forget thermostat location, and settings. Distance is not the only factor to adjust for.
Then there is the matter of plain old human habits.
