First of all, thank you sincerely for going over my inquiry. I am no engineer myself, so please bear with me. I have a research assignment and what I have to find out is:
1) Do Power Supplies utilize any form of Kapton flexible plastic film?
- On DuPont's website I found out that one of Kapton MT's applications includes power supplies, so this question is answered
2) What kind of Kapton tape do they use? (maybe there are other kinds of Kapton in used for this application, apart from MT)
3) Which exact Power Supplies utilize Kapton? (Maybe not all power supplies utilize Kapton. It would be nice to name a few specific ones)
4) What is the exact funciton/application that Kapton performs? Where exactly in a power supply can you find it?

Let me google that for you. Oh wait, Google it yourself, or visit your school/local library. Not being snarky but knowing how to follow leads is the heart of researching. I have done your assignment in less than an HOUR (And had breakfast, a cup of coffee and went through a 20minute BROWN [Power interruption] out), and have your answers, but first tell me what YOU have found please.

I started simply with KAPTON, and went from there.

I'm waiting for the Spam with the hot links to show up... I can't see how this is even a homework assignment as its so totally about ONE specific vendors trademarked product rather than a generic item used in manufacturing.
