So Ahmamadjihad is back but surely anything he says is ridiculous just as it was when he was in power. The Iran-US relationship has moved on unless Dump regresses there as he has in other ways

I would've settled with them a long time ago. They have waged war against the US since 1979 and have cost hundreds of American military lives . While we have done nothing they have grown in power and influence .

How? I would love to know what your solution is.

They are an ancient civilization, you interferred in their politics prior to 1979 and as a result their opinion of you is that of a supporter of a repressive regime. You don't take easily to negotiation and so tried to militarily force an outcome in a hostage situation and it didn't go well, further reinforcing their opinion. I know they oppose you where Israel is concerned and have interferred in Palistine, Iraq and Syria, but I'm not sure your motives were pure there either. Whether they grow in power and influence isn't up to you, you really have to loose this Sherriff of the world thing and understand that the only thing you are soveriegn over is your own land

compared to the clerics ,Palavi was George Washington. They don't trust us because their revolution against the regime was the only Arab Spring we did not support ,and it was the only one worth supporting .
