Hi I'm tiff and I'm in a horrible situation okay so my best mate kate has moved away for 2 years to live in wales she went out with this guy called harry for 2years but he has told kate that because they live so far away they shouldn't see each other any more ymore,harry told me he has liked me for a while and I have known him since I was 13 and we are really close mates we have recently been spending loads of time together he told me that he wants me to be with him and that he is not using me as a rebound girl.I don't no what to do should I tell kate?? please help xxxxxxxx:mad:

Well I guess it all depends who is more important to you. If you had to choose between them both who would you choose? If you would choose Kate then you should tell her and see what she thinks about it. If she says that if you were to get with him that would be the end of your and her relationship then don't see harry. But if you would choose Harry then you might as well go for it but it would still be nice to let Kate know beforehand to keep her from getting too hurt.

Well it would be better she finds it out from you than him, as Beachgirl said you must make a decision if you like him then talk to your friend and work it out with her otherwise it might get blown wide open in things might get taken the wrong way, just talk with her I am sure she will understand.

He has told me that we should keep it between us for a while and see how it goes I have actually known him longer than I have kate and we have always had a secret crush but when him and kate were together I would have never made a move on harry

I would tell your mate yourself be a true friend to her. Is this guy worth losing a friend over. And do you like him for sure in that way?

That is very comendable when they were together but they are not now if you like him your friend will understand, don't let things slip or you will regret not asking.

Be mature enough to handle your actions and YOU should tell Kate not harry. She will probably respect that more.

I agree with KRS here. You need to be mature enough to tell your friend. But be prepared for hurt feelings on her end. Going out with a friend's ex is not always the best way to maintain a good relationship with your friend.

If you are a friend she would rather you be honest, and not appear you are going behind her back.
