I'm trying to find the name of a movie set in Australia (assuming its Australian)

I remember the very end of the movie where they are underground (maybe a train station) in Sydney & the blast hits & that is the end of the movie.

All I can think of us On The Beach! Showing my age, I guess. It was made in 1959 in B & W. But it's end of the world, and set in Australia, and a very good movie... if you can tolerate a slower pace.
