How do I connect flexihose to 7/8 " copper pipe?
    Hello,

I am trying to replace a 2 handle faucet with a single handle faucet and have run into a roadblock.

There is a 7/8" copper pipe connected directly to the hot water handle on my old faucet. I have read advice about cutting the pipe and installing a flexi-hose by using a compression fitting, but I am having difficulties finding the correct hardware for the 7/8 pipe to flexi-hose.

Is this the correct approach? If so, what exactly do I need to buy?

    Thanks,

There must be some connection that can be undone. A 7/8" copper pipe to a faucet is not original so see how its attached and unscrew it.

7/8"? I've; seen 3/8". I can't imagine how a 7/8 was connected to a stop valve. Most single handle have 2 copper lines that drop down and are connected to 3/8 or 1/2 compression angle stops using a flex connector. Picture would sure help.

Lots of options available nowadays, but need more info. Can you post a picture? If you can't post a picture easily, describe the faucet in more detail. Is this a tub and shower valve, or just a shower valve? Is this a copper tube or a threaded brass nipple? Are you talking about a union type fitting that has a nut that rotates/spins to tighten/loosen?

    Back to you...
