    How to tell my parents?
Hi. I'm 16 and kind of like this guy who used to be my classmate. However, I' m now shifting to a new school. His parents know about me and like me, but I haven't told my parents yet. They got to know about us before and told me to break it off. They say it's not in our culture to date so I shouldn't be doing so. My parents got together when after they started working and I kind of think they want the same for me. I don't know how to tell them. Me and my boyfriend really like each other, but I just don't know how to tell my parents that I like a boy without them getting mad. Any advice

What culture? Each culture is different. What are the social norms for your culture? I would advise that you respect your parents and your culture. You are still in High School and there is plenty of time to date later in life (see college) where you will not be directly supervised by your parents. Remember that your family is more than likely always going to be there for you and guys will move in and out of your life over time. The first stage in a relationship is infatuation or honeymoon phase and that is most likely what is happening with you and your feelings. Also, I would advise that you speak with your parents about dating, their feelings about how you sholud meet and/or date guys in the future, American culture and intigrating your culture into American culture without the loss of you cultural identities.
