How to remove faucet when there is no hex screw

You have to give us more information: what kind of faucet ? What brand ? Where is it installed ? Can you post a picture of it ?

Not sure without a model but, I have 3 single handle Delta tub faucets. On each of them is a small red/blue plug. Remove the plug and the screw is under it.
