After installing Firebird I lost use of Internet Explorer. It tries to open a site only to return the page with the message "Cannot find server - the page cannot be displayed. There are some web sites requiring IE, how do I reset the program. I tried downloading from MS but they said I have a newer version already installed.

At any website, at the top, click on Tools, then Internet Options.
Click on the Programs tab at the top.
Then, Left click, at the bottom, on "Internet Explorer should check to see if it's the default browser".
Click on Apply, then OK.
I am not 100% sure, but this might solve the problem for you.

PS, There will also be other experts, some who use Firefox, that will either confirm or deny that this will work.
