    Bids new construction homes
Can anyone help me determine how much to bid on a new construct home for a final clean. All the bulk cleaning will be done we will have to dust everything, vacuum/mop floors etc. clean sinks and tubs. Builder would like price with and without window cleaning. The home size is 3200 sq feet.
    Thx

Very market dependent. No way we can tell you what to charge. Figure all your costs including taxes and insurance, add a profit factor and go from there. Check with other builders too, they may give you an idea.

I agree. And if you are going to be in business, you have to learn how to think for yourself. Make a list of each cleaning motion. Take it room by room if that helps, and imagine each step. Add a 'who knows what we might run into' factor, maybe a percentage. Add a penalty amount for what might still be there after the 'bulk' cleaning. Guess on costs of supplies. Count windows and labor for a person on each side and what size ladders are needed. And so on! If you can't estimate, you aren't ready to be self employed.

When figuring PROFIT, always add more. Always. And don't forget that you will be paying self employment taxes. If you were always a wage earner, figure that's worth another 30%, at least.
