How do we go about my husband adopting my daughter? My daughters father does not pay child support going on 2 years now and he hasn't seen her since Christmas... can these facts help? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The child's father would need to reliquich parental rights in order for adoption to take place.

Yes, you need to speak to your ex and see if he will agree.

If he will not agree it will be a hard court battle, if even possible.

You don't, no matter what it is still his child. By your theory if he paid you twice as much money he would be twice as good a father. It's not about money. And besides why can't you collect?;) Is there something wrong with him? Why does he not exercise his visitation?
