Oil mural on plywood - in the style of Max Beckman
Attachment 48610Attachment 48611Attachment 48612Attachment 48613Attachment 48614Attachment 48615Attachment 48616I have an original oil on plywood that shows several groups of characters engaged in several common activities. A friend of mine who comes from Poland and goes back several times a year suggested that it might be painted by a Polish artist or another European country since the characters look similar to those in her country. I looked on the internet and the closest I could come would be Max Beckman, a German artist. But it is 54 by 44 inches and his paintings are usually quite smaller.. Does anyone know who might have painted it or where it might have been painted or where is all this activity taking place. I thought it might be a prison but there is a lady with the rest of the crew. Thanks ahead of time. One of the characters, the guy on the top right with the gal has a tatoo of what looks like a fleur-du-lis or some other leaf but I don't know if that could help.
