I have two sets of pipes in my basement floor. One 4" pipe is near my sump pump (which is my question- what is this? - you can see it behind the weight bench to the right of the sump pump) and my second set looks like it could be for a toilet and sink. Can someone help me identify what this single pipe might be for? I have no idea. Please see the pictures.

Basement is probably roughed-in for 3-unit bathroom. I cannot see entire bathroom to get a sense of distances between pipes and walls - but it looks like the pipe under the chair is for toilet, the pipe behind weight-bench is for tub or shower ( with trap under the concrete ) and the pipe rising from the floor is for sink.

You can remove the cap from the pipe behind the bench. There should be smaller pipe inside. If so, it is roughed-in for tub/shower. If not, remove cap from the other large pipe. See if there is smaller pipe inside this pipe. Once you find the smaller pipe, pour bucket of water inside. Take flash light and look inside. There should be water standing on the bottom of the pipe. That indicates, there is a trap, and pipe is ready to be connected to tub or shower

Can you post bird's eye view drawing showing all pipes and dimensions ?

Let's see, yes, stub under chair looks like a toilet rough in. Tall skinny is sink but would be stubbed inside a wall to connect to a p trap or has afloor trap. Large pipe to right is mainstack. Looks like it was planned to be in a 6", wet wall. Pipe behind bench? Need to see what is in the pipe. If it connects to the sump, would probably be a floor drain.
