A traffic light weighing 20 newtons hangs from a cable tied to two other cables which are fastened to support the upper cables make angles of 37degrees and 53 degrees with the horizontal find the tension in the three cables

    What do YOU think.
While we're happy to help, we will NOT do all the work for you..

I can give you a hint. You need to break the tension in components. Vertical and horizontal. Vertical component equals tension times sine theta And horizontal component equals tension times cosine theta. Theta is the angle the between the force and the horizontal.
Draw a vector diagram of all the forces. The forces are the weight of that stuff, and the components of tension of the wires. Solve for unknows using the clue :The resultant force is zero as there is no acceleration of the hanging mass.

This is just a hint. Use it and try to solve it.
