How do I give up caffeine addiction, any alternative
You stop cold turkey or you taper off to nothing over time whichever works for you.
Drink 1 less coffee or soda per day. Go for 2 weeks and then drop 2.
I've tried twice over about 45 years and failed both times. I turned into a Tasmanian Devil.
Another time a friend came to visit and substituted decaf for 3 days before I started going off the deep end and figured it out.
I see no reason anymore to give up caffeine. I just limit myself. How much are you drinking, and why do you want to give it up?
How much do you drink now. That is part of the issue. One cup of coffee a day or 10.
But try cutting it in half for now.
Do one thing at a time. It will take some time.
Start with decaffeinated one. Then slowly go to next level, whenever you crave, just munch a healthy snack or chewing gum. Drink more water(to make your belly feel FULL) so that you can tackle with the cravings.
Then when you mastered controlling your craves. Then stick with it, Just have a less caffeinated drink or just fully stop it.
