A bricklayer weighing 800N stands 1 meter from one end of a scaffold 3 meters long. The scaffold weighs 750N. A pile of bricks weighing 320N is 1.50 meters from the other end of the scaffold. What force must be exerted on each end of the scaffold to support it?

Hint: draw a free body diagram, and use the fact that the sum of moments about any point = 0 and the sum of vertical forces = 0. Take a stab at it, show us your work, and we'll be glad to help you along if you get stuck.
