    Huge septic tank cover
So, I have someone coming on Thursday to pump my septic tank. This is the first time since I bought the house that I'm having it done and they told me to dig up the cover. So I found the tank but had no luck finding the cover so I started to dig. I dug the entire top of the cement tank up. The only thing that I believe may be the cover is a 5 ft by maybe 2ft at least 3 inch thick cover. It has 2 hooks on top, one of which is broken. Now, of all the research I've done I haven't been able to find anything like it. Does this seem correct? If there is a way I could post pictures..

It's a cement cover, if that's the cover that is, so it has to be extraordinarily heavy

Ours was buried and the septic company found it. Our cover is about 3 feet by 3 feet with two rebar handles. Apparently in California, we had to replace it with a plastic threaded cover. Ours was many feet below the surface. I spray painted a spot on the brick nearest the cover and wrote down for myself its' exact location from that spot.

There should be an access hole. Mine has two 18" diameter ports with rebar handles.
