I used oatey medium orange cpvc cement without primer, will that have any effects on my work? When I bought it, it told it was not necessary to use the primer, so I did not.

Oatey tech sheet for medium orange says " clean with listed primer". Maybe you'll luck out.

Its affect and you best hope you are lucky. Is this a drain or a supply pipe?

If you use Primer, your connection becomes "welded." Welded joint holds lot more pressure than non-primed joint.
