Is personal information saved on a website if you exit before submitting
I entered some information on an application before thinking it was fishy, so I closed it, but is it still saved by the company and website?

All depends on what kind and how good your security system is on your computer.

If it is a legit site then you have nothing to worry about. If it is a phishing site then you may have to worry as most of those record your keystrokes.

Do you have an antivirus or malware detector on your machine ?

There is no way to tell for sure. Most likely until you hit a Submit button the data is not transmitted, But without seeing the form or seeing how the website is coded there is no way to tell for sure.

Most sites the information is not sent. But it is possible for programs to see your keystrokes and to see the information as you enter it.

So, as noted, there is just no way to tell.
