The city is installing a mini-storm sewer along the back of the properties in my neighborhood to connect the sum pumps up to it. I don't have a sum pump; will I be required to get one installed and also connect to the sewer? I don't have water issues in my home, but my surrounding neighbors do. Please help!! Thanks, Chad

I doubt if you will be REQUIRED to have a sump pump, nor can say if you will ever need one. That's the question you must answer for yourself... if you will have a need for one in the future. Investigate and find out WHY your neighbors have problems, and you don't. Ask the city, talk to neighbors, maybe consult with local experts in sewer problems.

Are you sure it is Sewer, not Storm Drain ?
