    broken dvd in the toile
My son put a broken dvd in the toilet and Imore not sure if he flushed or not. Now when I do flush the toilet all the water does not flush out. Sometimes it even backs up. When I use a plunger it works. Ive tried a snake but it won't go down the drain. I can't afford a lot of money and was sondering what I could do?

You need to remove the toilet to remove the broken DVD if you don't find it may be stuck in the drain some where and need to be snaked, good luck.

I did try a snake. The drain I guess goes up and then down or something. We have a maintenance guy but I'm afraid it's going to cost me a lot of money. I was trying to fix it myself before having to make that call

Did you remove the toilet and snaked it or you just used the Auger?

Some time the Auger doesn't work, I hate to tell you that you will need to remove the toilet, Thanks.

I got it out. I used a wire coat hanger and wiggled it around. It came floating. I guess it was just hung up thanks for the advice I feel so proud of myself
