I just had a new garage floor concrete slab poured on Tuesday. 36'x40' area - 6" thick with fibreglass and 4000 lb. mix. The floor was pitched front to rear and right to left for drainage. There is a 1" to 1-1/8" low area where water puddles and never makes it to lowest area (left rear) for drainage. This low area is approximately 8'to10' in diameter and again deepest area is about 1-1/8''.
What can be done, it's anew floor so I want the same finish throughout and plan on putting a car lift in about that low area. Plan on washing cars inside and don't want a pond inside. Thanks for any help or advice. Andy

I've found very few solutions to low spots on concrete slabs. You can:

1. cut out the concrete in the problem area and re-pour to the correct height.
2. re-surface the whole slab with something else to address the problem
3. install a drain system to carry any standing water away

I don't know what your specific conditions are or what you're dealing with in regard to walls, etc. but I would look into the drain idea. If you anticipate using that area to wash vehicles... a drain would certainly help. Maybe a "Deco-Drain" type. It requires a slot being cut into the slab and is really a trough that carries the water away.

Dorac, not sure where you are located but garage floors are not usually pitched front to back. It's a big garage so I'm doubting that its attached but normally the floor pitches to the front in the unlikely leak of fuel. Kstar's Deco Drain would be an excellent solution.
