Jetta Tub,

Tub had not been used for over 24 hours. There was a loud roaring sound coming from tub this morning when we woke up. Couldn't turn off the tub, no water in the tub. Hot motor smell. Turned off at breaker.

Jetted tubs are usually turned on and off by an air switch. You press the button and it pushes air to the electrical switch for the motor.

I would look at the switch to see if it is defective.
