What is zinc diacid phosphate ? What is the difference between zinc phosphate and zinc diacd phosphate ?
What does your Chemistry textbook say? What do you think it is?
Zinc phosphate is Zn3(PO4)2. This is a normal salt as it is formed by complete neutralization of phosphoric acid, H3PO4, a tribasic acid. Such an acid forms three series of salts.Zinc diacid phosphate is zinc dihydrogen phosphate, Zn(H2PO4)2. It is called an acid salt, as it still has two acidic or ionizable hydrogen atoms in its anion, H2PO4(-) . It is formed by partial neutralization of the acid. There can be one more zinc salt with phosphoric acid. It is zinc monoacid phosphate or zinc hydrogen phosphate, ZnHPO4. This is also an acid salt having the anion HPO4(2-).
