Would you date some one that said no sex before marriage but is for kissing and hugging.

The question is why are you asking total strangers what they would do about a hypothetical dating situation?

I suppose (speaking as a woman) I would also ask you how well you can control your desires, and how prepared you are for marriage if you start thinking about her every second of the day and confuse desire with love.

Do you only date for sex? If so, leave her alone. Can you not control yourself?

Up to you. Is it worth it? How does it fit into your belief structure?

For me I wasn't chaste with either of my wives before marriage. They were sequential, not concurrent. Neither was I chaste with any of my girlfriends. It isn't a requirement for me personally to be chaste before marriage, nor my wife to be. I personally believe it important NOT to be chaste before marriage because then you will know what to expect from sex during marriage. This will filter out ANY problems of sexual incompatibility before the marriage and prevent a potential divorce or infidelity.

I am also Atheist. Take that as you will.

You need to reflect whether this is important. What it does to how you view your potential wife, and your life together. Could you live with a woman who has slept with another man? Would you expect your wife to be OK with you knowing that had slept with another woman? Do you believe you will be punished for having sex before marriage.

I could talk about the need for purity before marriage through out history and how it is a very dated concept in the modern world, but I have a feeling that doesn't matter much here.

Cute smart girls rarely date shallow guys.

If you discount someone just because they were up front and honest about not sleeping with you. You might miss out on a great relationship.

And if you don't... don't bellyache about it.. you have a lot of years to get your fill if you get married.

In fact you will learn... there are a lot more important things in life than that. When the excitement wears thin and the beauty of youth wears off and she puts on 40 lbs or more, you better hope you REALLY like that person in every other way.

Sure... why not if they were cool and fun.
