    I have something stuck in my toilet and I need to get it out.

    Explain what "something" is... if its an object a child tried to flush it needs removed and not just moved along ir it will likely cause a more difficult to get to clog (and more expensive to correct)... if it's a clog formed by normal human waste products, there are a number of ways to move it along... plunger.. etc.

    Get 5' auger from Home Depot, insert it into toilet bowl and push it out to the sewer pipe. Flush several times to move it down the pipe. If the obstruction is a child's toy or cap from hair spray, you should be able to dislodge it with auger

    If that doesn't work, you will have to remove toilet, flip it over and retrieve the obstruction manually.

    As mentioned above, it sometime happens, that it is human waste that gets lodged in the bowl. If so, the auger should do the trick as well
