I just want to ask whether having a candle light dinner with my husband is allowed in islam?

Why wouldn't it be? Before electricity you have to be able to see your plate somehow.

I would imagine there are many places where Islamic people live, particularly tribal areas, where there is no electricity.

Candle light for romance, would be the issue, since it would only purpose to stimulate sexual desires which would be the problem.
