Is it okay for a freshman to date a senior?
So... there is a senior that I'm not really sure if he likes me or not but he always says I'm pretty and cute and always snapchats me and texts me 24/7. I'm not really sure what to do I need advice. Should I leave it alone and find someone else and focus on school or go for it? Hes a really nice guy... really polite and funny.

He'll be graduating soon and will probably be off to college or life. Freshman-Senior is quite an age span at your age. I'd leave it alone.

Assuming this is high school, the difference in age, makes it non practical. He is at a different level of what he wants or expects in dating. Even levels of what you may be allowed to do or go, and so on.

Stick with those closer to your own age.

When in doubt, talk to mom whose the only opinion that counts.

He may think you're cute but there is not a lot you have in common with him. He's about to graduate and go to college.
What would your mom say about you dating, snap chatting and texting all hours of the day with a senior?

Our parents our really good friends... both of our parents know that we snap and text.

Do your parents know you are wanting to date him? What are you two texting about? Perhaps he is not interested in you but thinks of you in a little sister way. Otherwise it makes no sense for him to be interested in you.

yeah they do... we text about random stuff like we both play the same sports and we just say what's up and how are you stuff like that. Just kind of random things. Hes really flirty too. I don't really know him well enough for him to think of me as a little sister. We started talking about like 3 weeks ago. Aparently all the seniors know were talking too..

I thought you said your parents are really good friends. How long have they been friends?
I think you need to be very careful with this guy.

Obviously you have a crush, and that's pretty normal for young teens, but do you really think you are the only girl he flirts with, or snap texts with? I would sure hold off on going for a guy who is that much further advanced, and just because your parents and his are friends and know you have a friendly contact doesn't mean they would go for you dating him, nor has he tried has he?

Maybe talking to your mom before you go for it would be wiser.
