How do I reroute new drain pipe outside around house to septic tank?
The house has old galvanized pipe bad in concrete. What are the pros and cons on rerouting new drain pipes outside around house to septic tank?

These are house drains? Never saw galvanised drains. Cast iron perhaps. Today, everything is PVC. What exactly do these pipes connect to?

    Hello Tocrow,

What makes you think you need to re-route pipes outside and into septic tank ? Are you having drainage problem ? How big ( in diameter ) is that galvanized pipe ? Also, when you say it is "embedded" in concrete - do you mean it just penetrates foundation from basement to the exterior of the house - or is it that a large section of pipe is covered in concrete ?

The Pros are that you will have new drainage pipe. If installed properly - and up to Code, I don't see any Cons other than the cost of the project
