No one can tell you that. It all depends on labor cost in your area and the plumbing work that has to be done. Usually it is a fairly simple process. If you can't do it yourself, try to find a handyman. If you do, do him and yourself a favor. Remove all the stuff you have under the sink. Nothing irritates me more than to go into someone's house and have to remove half of the stuff they own (stuff they will never use) in order to change a faucet or snake a drain.

The hardest part of installing new faucet is removing the old one. Agree with Harold: If you are a bit handy and have basic tools, you can do it yourself - or hire a handyman. Plumber will charge you "going rate" which will be the most expensive way to go.

If the handyman isn't insured against plumbing leaks (water damage) then he/she shouldn't touch the faucet. In cases of uninsured or even UNDERinsured handymen it is usually best to hire a licensed and insured plumber. Here, a licensed plumber can evaluate the situation, repair or replace shut off valves (if needed) and can usually whip these out very quickly with no damage to the surrounding floor or countertop.

Totally agree about cleaning out the underneath of the sink...just makes for a nice start to the job, for sure.

    Good luck!

Sorry Mark but we can't all afford you. I know you have to pay for the license, bonding, insurance and the taxes. You probably also get and pay for the permit. Cheaper to just check for leaks before I pay. If a water leak was all I had to worry about life would be great.
