New vessel sink without overflow, drains slow or not at all
Have a copper sink without over flow, I changed the drain with a grid type and now it doesn't drain. Help!

Grid strainers should be illegal... simply don't work well on vessel sinks. Here, you could try to drill the holes in the strainer larger... I've seen it done and it does improve draining (see image for example). Otherwise, throw it out and install a new MUSHROOM or UMBRELLA style vessel sink drain (see 2nd image). These drains allow water to mix with air in a ratio that makes the drain very effective at clearing a sink quickly!

Well explained by Mark. Without overflow, drainage will be slow. Do as Mark suggested ( mushroom drain assembly ). That should solve your slow drainage problem
