    Bipolar and confuse about pregnancy
We are not trying to get pregnant but we did briefly have unprotected sex twice last month after my period. I had my period on march 14th-it lasted about three days or so. On march 24th we briefly had sex and he pulled out after only a few minutes-the same thing happened again on march 28th. Since then I noticed some strecht marks on my lower abs and I threw up one night. I am thinking maybe these strecht marks were already there and I just never noticed before? But my pants have not been fitting and I have not gained any weight except maybe 3 lbs? I have been going to the batheroom a lot but I do drink a lot of coffee. It seems too soon to take a pregnancy test and I do not have any other symptoms would it be OK to wait a week or two before getting a test? I know being bloated could be a sign but it could be pms too- I just do not remember ever being this big before. Does anyone have any advice? Thanks! I would also want to know if I was as soon as I can so that I can see a gyn and see what bipolar meds might need changing. I posted here about this right after we had fooled around that second time. I am probably not pregnant- I am just unsure about why I would be so bloated... Does anyone know if those early tests work? I think they are called first response.

Some of the tests are designed to work as early as five days before a missed period. However, it is always best to wait until after you miss your period to get a more accurate response. Now, also understand that these tests can give false negatives.

As far as strech marks, you would not get them this early, they do not appear until the stomach has stretched beyond its elastic capabilities. So, those were already there.

The bloating is definitely a symptom of PMS and can be different month to month. Also understand that withdrawal method is NOT a form of birth control or prevention. It is just as likely to get pregnant this way.

So, dear, wait until you miss a period before taking a HPT.
