My husband and I would like to emigrate but not sure what to do to start.
His father is German and his grandfather and grandmother are from Germany born and raised there, they moved to SA after the war and his father was also born in Germany.
My husband was forced in the 1993 / 1994 from South African law to choose which passport he wanted to keep, SA or Germany and since he lived here he chose SA, so renounced his German passport, so we want to get it back via his grandfather and father. We need help with this as we don't know where to start and the fees.
We also want to know how to go about getting visa and passports to live and work in New Zealand or Canada, I have my cousin in Canada and family in Germany etc.

I will assume you are in SA and wish to leave. You emigrate from and immigrate to. You just don't immigrate anymore. Most countries now require specific items to qualify you, SA does. Check with the consulates of the countries where you want to immigrate and see what is needed. You can also Google " immigrating to..........".
