My 19 month old son has been sick for about 4 days now and I've been running the humidifier and putting vapor rub on his chest and back. He doesn't know how to blow his nose yet so yesterday I picked up a battery operated booger sucker. My question is : Is there anything else I can do for him aside taking him to the doctor to get checked out? This is the first time he has ever been sick with a cold.

His TEMP is very important. First thing a doctor will ask.
Keep him full of warm broth and other weak fluids. Any food should be bland and as liquid as possible, such as oatmeal.
Wait 1/2 hour. Take his temp then. Answer back.

And be very careful with humidifiers! They get moldy very fast and you may not see it, and must be CLEANED often.

Is there anything else I can do for him aside taking him to the doctor to get checked out? Any reason why you want home remedies and not professional help?
