I'm a straight girl and I've liked my childhood guy friend for a long time. I want to tell him how I feel, but lately I'm worried he might not have the same sexual orientation as me. He seems straight, being your sloppy violent average 15 year old who reacts to the presence of females and is masculine but not in a forced way. But he is also insecure and ashamed and does weird things like:

Misunderstanding/mistreating females; no longer dating.
Fostering dependent, sometimes secretive or intimate exchanges with guy friends or male adults.
Being inconsistent in views on homosexuality.

Judge much? There’s also the possibility he doesn’t find you attractive, inside or out. Regardless if he likes you or not, his sexuality is his business and not yours. And you might want to get over yourself, the lot of guys who are going to turn you down aren’t going to do so because they are gay. Guys mature slower than females as I am sure you have seen. People are ready to date when they are ready to date. Your post is borderline offensive as you make it seem wrong to be gay. If he is a friend leave him alone because he’s obviously not interested.

The same could be said of any guy who was done wrong and is bitter. Why would you even think of telling such a fellow who is violent and mistreats woman you like them (TYPICAL 15 YEAR OLD GUY? REALLY)? How do you ignore all the other red flags, and blame it on gender identity?

Analyze yourself while you are analyzing another. You're the one that's attracted to him. Why?

Wow! Thinking he's gay just because he's not that into you? Just wow!

Also, he mistreats females? How? And if that's true, why are you into him? Time to evaluate yourself, and leave him alone.

His sexual orientation is none of your business unless he makes it your business, and even then, it's still none of your business!

Most 15 year olds have never dated, gosh, most do not start at 14 or younger and not really date till 16 or older.

Mixed feelings on gays, how about this, my best friend is gay, but I think gay marriage is wrong ? Seems mixed, in today's society if you don't have mixed feelings at some point on gay rights, you would not be normal.
