Is there an age limit on a mobile home to get a highway permit to move it? I heard once not over 30 years old in NC? True?

Why not call DMV and ask? This is probably county controlled.

The issue of course is that a 30 year old mobile home will often have structure issues, frame issues, and of course would have to get axles and wheels all replaced. Along with most have almost no value.

With that said, issues of distance, what roads they must travel on, are all factors, that I believe will be considered.

You would need to go to the office and ask them directly since I do believe many factors beyond age needs to be considered.

With that said, the companies that move them, would also know, since they are normally the ones who get the permits to move them
